Discovery Through Design is a Discovery Place Museum Initiative funded through the LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network, serving youth in Charlotte’s underserved communities.
Discovery Place created a museum-based design challenge reaching 2,000 students. This challenge, running for nine weeks, included a field trip where students visited the museums to gain inspiration for their designs. Afterwards, students returned to their sites to develop their ideas towards a final, finished product which was on display at Discovery Place Science.
