An asteroid with a surprise: In June 2024, NASA’s Goldstone radar tracked two large asteroids. One of them came even closer to the distance of the moon. But something extraordinary was observed. The asteroid 2011 UL21 had a small moon orbiting it. Both asteroids safely passed our planet, providing crucial data for the planetary defense system.
